Dow Louisiana Federal Credit Union, Walker, La., opened its new financial resource center. The 5,000-square-foot location provides full teller and lending services, business services, deposits, consumer loans, mortgage lending and investment services. It also has drive-thru teller services, ample parking, private loan officers and a drive-up ATM for after-hour service.
TruMark Financial Credit Union, Trevose, Pa., held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of its 10th branch. State Representative Katherine M. Watson; Michael Mzorinski, zoning manager for Warrington Township; Gay Currie, communications officer, Warrington Township and TruMark financial officials and senior managers were all on hand at the ceremony.
CFE Federal Credit Union, Lake Mary, Fla., celebrated the grand opening of its first student-run branch. The Paw Print branch is located at Timber Creek High School where business students will get the opportunity to work at the branch and see how a credit union runs. The credit union also issued a special debit card designed by a student just for Paw Print branch members when they open a checking account. The branch will offer checking and savings accounts plus share certificates and other services.
Xceed Financial Credit Union, El Segundo, Calif., announced the opening of two new branches. The credit union held weeklong festivities to celebrate the opening of its new San Jose, Calif., branch. The festivities included Xceed plinko for a chance to win the grand prize of $500, a turn in the cash cube money machine, and the credit union replaced select $20 bills with $50 in the ATM. The credit union also offered members an extra $50 deposit when they opened a SeekMore checking Account. Xceed also held weeklong activities to celebrate the opening of its Henrietta, N.Y. branch.

McGraw-Hill Federal Credit Union, New York, held an open house for its new branch office at 55 Water St. in New York City. The event was attended by more than 400 people who enjoyed lunch, prize drawings and the opportunity to learn about the services the credit union offers. Senior executives of companies in the building attended a seminar "Challengers Facing the Federal Reserve" held by speaker Raymond Stone, co-founder and managing director of Stone & McCarthy Research Associates. A seminar called "Body Language" was held for human resource representatives as well. Each day of the week featured a different event such as financial review day and go green day.
Municipal Credit Union, New York, opened an MCU express branch in East Meadow, N.Y. The new branch is the credit union's 13th branch in the New York metro area and the fourth serving members in Long Island. The new facility features three teller machines and ATMs. The express branch offers the choice of face-to-face in person service or electronic banking instead of traditional tellers and lines.
Coastal Federal Credit Union, Raleigh, N.C., introduced an express teller system at its St. Albans Drive and Wakefield Commons locations. The system is a technologically enhanced interface that allows tellers to provide traditional services to multiple branches from a single location. The credit union plans to convert eight other branches to the new technology over the next 12 months.
San Antonio Federal Credit Union, San Antonio, celebrated the grand opening of its new branch in Schertz, Texas. Members visiting the branch will be able to choose from traditional teller services or remote teller stations. The credit union has 17 full-service branches in San Antonio.
United Heritage Credit Union, Austin, Texas, announced that it will be opening a new location in Kyle, Texas. This location will be the credit union's 12th. The new 4,700-square-foot location will be a full-service facility with four drive-thru lanes and two drive-up ATMs, safety deposit boxes, lobby coin machine, refreshment area, concierge and plasma lobby displays.
Connexus Credit Union, Wausau, Wis., celebrated the grand opening of its new branch in Fairfield, Ohio. The location is located inside the Liberty Mutual building, which offers a convenient location to Liberty Mutual employee members. The credit union held specials and activities through out the grand opening week that included a ribbon cutting and festivities.
Genisys Credit Union, Auburn Hills, Mich., held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of the Genisys in-school branch at the Pontiac Academy for Excellence. Genisys Auburn Hills Manager Saundra Cox spoke to over 500 students and staff at three school assemblies to discuss the importance of savings. Students were given several incentives to open an account and save. The credit union will provide a prize and an entry into a quarterly drawing to every student each time they make a deposit. The teacher with the most participation during each promotion will receive a pizza party and a $75 gift card to buy classroom supplies.
