North Jersey Federal Credit Union
, Totowa, N.J., welcomed Patricia Ours as their new branch sales manager. Ours formerly held the position of assistant vice president and sales manager at Washington Mutual. NJFCU also announced the promotion of Maya Mirzayev to the position of electronic services manager. Mirazyev joined the credit union in the summer of 2007 as an electronic services team leader.

Teachers Federal Credit Union, Farmingville, N.Y., announced that Albert Tamer has been designated assistant vice president of retail support. Tamer has been working in the banking and credit union industry for almost 25 years.

First Financial Federal Credit Union
, Wall N.J., recently announced the appointment of Diane Ingenito as a volunteer supervisory committee member. Ingenito was appointed a committee member to assist with overall strategic development. She is currently the director of internal audit for Meridian Health.

New York Credit Union Foundation
, Albany, N.Y., at a board meeting this past December, elected three officers: Chair Vicki O'Neill, president/CEO, ACMG FCU, Solvey, N.Y.; Vice Chair Bruno Sementilli, president/CEO, Quorm FCU, Purchase, N.Y.; and Secretary/Treasurer Brian Clarke, chief financial officer, Bethpage FCU, Bethpage N.Y. O'Neill is new to the chair position, while both Sementilli and Clarke begin a second year in their respective officer positions.

Financial Resources Federal Credit Union
, Bridgewater, N.J., broad of directors recently elected former Chairman Peter J. Brouno to chairman emeritus for his long history of dedicated service and hard work. Financial Resources Federal's board also elected retiring Director Frank J. Culley to director emeritus. Culley retired as vice president of human resources for Ethicon Inc. in 1995.

AmeriCU Credit Union
, Rome, N.Y., announced that the Vice President of Human Resources Lorraine McCormick recently earned certification as a senior professional in human resources (SPHR). The certification indicates that McCormick has the theoretical understanding and useful experience in human resource management exhibiting superior echelons of knowledge in the field.

Clarence Community & Schools Federal Credit Union, Clarence, N.Y., recently employed Simone Fancher-Rowan as the director of marketing/public relations. Fancher-Rowan has formerly worked with the Girl Scouts of WNY as camp director, senior program aide and program coordinator.

, Dothan, Ala., announced the addition of Mike Stewart to the credit union as indirect lending manager. Stewart has been hired to head the vehicle loan department. He brings nearly 12 years of experience to Five Star in vehicle financing.

Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union
, Live Oaks, Texas, announced six new members to its thrift institutions advisory council. Randy M. Smith, president/CEO of RBFCU, is one of the council's newest members.

1st Advantage Federal Credit Union, Yorktown, Va., announced the appointment of Leasa Swittenberg as an additional mortgage specialist, who will serve the credit union's members and qualified nonmembers in Hampton Roads. Swittenberg began as a loan consultant for Member Advantage Mortgage in November of 2008 and is now headquartered out of the credit union's main office in Yorktown.

Local Government Federal Credit Union, Raleigh, N.C., announced the addition of 11 new advisory council associates to eight of its 22 councils throughout the state. Serving as liaisons between credit union members/non-members and LGFCU management the new members contribute their time without compensation. SECU, Linthicum, Md., recently announced the election of its President/CEO Rod Staatz to CUNA's board of directors.

UT Federal Credit Union
, Knoxville, Tenn., announced the addition of Bridgette Williams as branch manager of the Franklin Square branch. Williams formerly served as assistant manager with another area credit union.

MIDWEST

First Community Federal Credit Union
, Parchment, Mich., recently promoted Joseph Diani as branch manger of the credit union's Mattawan branch. Diani held the title of assistant branch manager at the West Main location prior to accepting his new position. Keith Easterday has also joined the FCFCU team as branch supervisor for the United Savers-Battle Creek branch office. Prior to accepting this position, Easterday worked for Bank of America.

USA One Credit Union
, Matteson, Ill., promoted Karen G. Brown to the position of vice president/chief financial officer after joining the credit union's staff one year ago. Brown previously served as a vice president for LaSalle Bank/ABN AMRO, where she gained valuable experience and knowledge in many key aspects of the credit industry.


WEST


Altura Credit Union
, Riverside, Calif., recently named Edgar Barraza assistant vice president of finance. Barraza most recently left the California Credit Union to join the Altura Credit Union team.

DeLeon & Stang Certified Public Accountants and Advisors, Gaithersburg, Md., announced that Stan Berger, senior manager, was named an honorary member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The firm also announced the promotion of Sweta Shah to senior accountant. Shah joined DeLeon & Stang in 2003 and formerly acted as an in-charge accountant. Ryan Crabbs was recently promoted to in-charge accountant. Crabbs, previously a staff account, joined the firm in 2007.

Alaska USA Trust Company, Anchorage, Alaska, named Leanna D. Dreher as a trust officer. Dreher has over 25 years of experience in general legal practice, and 10 years of experience in estate planning in Alaska. Dreher will be responsible for interacting with attorneys, financial planners, insurance agents and others.

EAST

Affinity Federal Credit Union, Basking Ridge, N.J., announced the appointment of Jean-Albert Maisonneuve to vice president, marketing and e-commerce. Maisonneuve was recently vice president, crossborder banking, at JP Morgan Chase. In his new role, Maisonneuve will develop marketing initiatives to deal with a diverse cultural mix.

First Financial Federal Credit Union, Wall, N.J., announced that Kathleen Zimmer has been hired as branch manager at the credit union's Howell branch. Zimmer has over 20 years of experience in banking. She most recently served as vice president, part-time compliance officer and branch manager at Manasquan Savings Bank. Zimmer will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities at the branch. The credit union also announced that Gordon Holder has been appointed to the board of directors. Holder has been a member of the supervisory committee since 2006.


SOUTH

AOD Federal Credit Union, Bynum, Ala., announced that Kenneth Reynolds, president and chief executive officer of the credit union has been appointed for a two-year term to NAFCU's Region III advisory committee.

Langley Federal Credit Union, Newport News, Va., announced the addition of Susan L. Burns to the credit union. Burns will work as the business relationship manager and she will be responsible for developing and managing the business accounts at the credit union. Burns has over 30 years of experience in commercial banking.


MIDWEST


Community Trust Credit Union
, Gurnee, Ill., hired Bettina Golwitzer as human resources manager. Golwitzer will be responsible for the hiring and training of new employees at the credit union. Golwitzer has held various human resources positions in northern Illinois over the last eight years.

Seven Seventeen Credit Union, Warren, Ohio, named Chris Graham to the position of business partner sales representative. Graham will be responsible for providing a wide range of services to businesses and their employees in the surrounding area. Graham has over 20 years of sales and customer service experience.

Consumers Credit Union, Waukegan Ill., recently held its third-annual employee awards and recognition banquet where the credit union announced the 2008 employees of the year. The credit union has six categories for employee of the year. The award for counter service representative was given to Patricia Ramirez. The contact center representative award was given to Michelle Wiatr. The lending department award was given to Alex Garcia. The office award was given to Paula Tobey and manager of the year award was given to Jim Eisert.

Consumers Credit Union, Kalamazoo, Mich., announced that Chris Schermerhorn has been promoted to office manager of the credit union's Stadium Drive office. Schermerhorn recently held the position of office manager for a large regional bank. He will replace Matt Quardokus. Quardokus has been promoted to office manger of the credit union's Cambridge Drive office.

American 1 Federal Credit Union, Jackson, Mich., was recognized by The Jackson Citizen Patriot for its commitment to community involvement and nonprofit support with the paper's 2008 corporate citizen of the year award. American 1 FCU was nominated by members of the community.

Royal Credit Union, Eau Claire, Wis., announced that Gina Gladwell has joined the credit union's investment and insurance services team as a registered representative with Financial Network Investment Corp. Gladwell will be responsible for assisting clients with a variety of investment options. Gladwell has been working for the credit union since 2004 when she started as a financial sales representative.

Wauna Federal Credit Union
, Clatskanie, Ore., has selected Josh Musgrave as the employee of the quarter.

Cyprus Credit Union
, West Jordan, Utah, named Michael Walters vice president of human resources and training. Walters has been with the credit union for seven years. Prior to his promotion, he served as the director of human resources and training.

VENDOR

CO-OP Financial Services, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., has named Lynn Kneebone director of sales eastern U.S. In her new position, Kneebone will be responsible for maintaining relationships with member credit unions as well as managing the CO-OP's sales force on the East Coast. Kneebone has been in the financial services industry for 19 years.
