SAN JOSE, Calif. – Meriwest Credit Union has joined the list of credit unions offering mobile banking.

The 93,000-member, $1.3 billion institution is using MShift Inc. as its provider of mobile banking technology, with functionality that includes bill pay, account transfers, balances and transaction reviews.

Meriwest (www.meriwest.com) has operations around the San Francisco area and in Tucson, Ariz. MShift (www.mshift.com), also based in San Jose, said it now provides mobile banking software to more than 150 financial institutions.
