CHICAGO — Card Analysis Solutions, the credit union card consultancy founded by independent card analyst Ondine Irving, has scheduled a second card management school.
The latest offering will be in Florida during March, the firm said.
"The inaugural class held in Chicago in December of 2008 was a tremendous success," said Ondine Irving, who founded Card Analysis Solutions in 2004 and consulted widely since. "The interest level led us to want to offer it again."

The first class contained a wide spectrum of different parts of the credit union card industry. The 37 attendees represented credit unions ranging from $15 million to $2 billion in assets, four credit union CEO's, three credit unions re-entering the card business in 2009 as well as representatives from Fidelity Information Services, Pemco Technologies and Town North Bank, Irving said.
"I could not have asked for a better group of attendees. We had a great class and it was a small enough group that there was tremendous opportunity for sharing many experiences and aspects of card program management," Iriving said. "It was also a good opportunity to hear unfiltered information regarding experiences with other card processors."
She explained that an independent review of some of the CU's card expenses wound up saving them significant amounts of money and all the attendees left with a "to do" to better streamline and position their card portfolios for increased growth.
