WASHINGTON – Consumers wanting to find a federal credit union can use a new free Web site, CULookup.com, started by NAFCU and NAFCU Services.
The site is aimed at helping consumers find a federal credit union that they are eligible to join and enable credit unions to establish their brand awareness and reach out to prospective customers.
"When you compare credit unions to banks on key value drivers–profits returned to members, lower fees, higher rates of return, lower credit card and consumer loan interest rates–credit unions come out on top," said David Frankil, president, NAFCU Services Corp. "But communicating that message has always been a challenge with all the advertising and promotional clutter from other financial services firms. CULookup.com is intended to make credit unions more competitive, because a healthy industry is good for all of us."
