WASHINGTON – CUNA and NAFCU are both holding events explaining the latest programs aimed at assisting credit unions next Tuesday.

The programs are Credit Union Homeowners Affordability Relief Program, which is designed to help credit unions provide assistance to members having trouble making mortgage payments, and Credit Union System Investment Program, which is designed to help corporate credit unions.

Both events will feature Central Liquidity Facility President Owen Cole, and CLF Vice President Steve Sherrod. The CLF is providing the funding for both programs.

CUNA's conference call, which is open to any CUNA-affiliated credit union, begins at 11:00 a.m. ET and lasts about an hour. It is open to the first 1,000 people who register, with one phone line per credit union.
