SAN JOSE, Calif. — Mobile banking provider MShift Inc. has added a pair of billion-dollar credit unions to its client list.

They are $1.2 billion CFE FCU of Lake Mary, Fla., and $2 billion Eastman CU in Kingsport, Tenn.

CFE said it's the first credit union in central Florida to offer mobile banking and that nearly 2,000 members had requested information by e-mail about the new service — mobile.mycfe.com — and several hundred site visits were logged within a few hours of its launch.

Eastman, meanwhile, has named its service ECU on the Go and made it available at mobile.ecu.org.

“This new service, literally, puts the credit union in the palm of our members' hands,” said Olan Jones Jr., ECU's president and CEO.

MShift's mobile platform works with any device and carrier and the company now serves more than 100 credit unions and banks.
