EASTCapital Communications Federal Credit Union, Albany, N.Y., announced the promotion of Michael Peteani to human resources manager. Peteani will oversee daily operations in the human resources department and will assist the vice president of human resources with new initiatives and activities. Theresa Trietiak was hired as talent acquisition specialist. Trietiak was most recently the senior human resources representative for Davis Vision and will be responsible for staffing and hiring efforts as well as human resource programs such as the new employee orientation program. Ann-Marie Comerie was hired as the human resources specialist. Comerie was previously employed as the human resources manager for Ordway Research.

SOUTHCFE Federal Credit Union, Lake Mary, Fla., announced that President/CEO Joseph Melbourne received the Florida Credit Union League 2008 professional of the year award. The award recognizes the Florida credit union professional that deserves to be singled out for their contribution to advance the credit union movement in both Florida and the nation. Melbourne was chosen for the award by a panel of credit union executives and CEOs from across Florida.
