SALT LAKE CITY — Eight years ago Mountain America Credit Union executives thought their new corporate headquarters had plenty of room for growth.
Just four years in they realize that couldn't be further from the truth so MACU is breaking ground on a new corporate annex.
"We've outgrown our training facility," said MACU Executive Vice President Sterling Nielsen. "With over 830 full time employees in four states, we do a lot of training to keep corporate staff and all the branches up to date. And with the number of new branches we've added it made sense to build a nice training facility for them to use."

The 150,000 square foot annex is scheduled to be complete in late 2009. It will be four stories high with 4,000 square feet of meeting and training space. There will also be a 142 tiered-seat auditorium that will be used for trainings and meetings.
