Foundation Aids Literacy Efforts

SAN FRANCISO -- The Richard Myles Johnson Foundation recently granted $22,500 toward two financial literacy efforts here.

SAN FRANCISO — The Richard Myles Johnson Foundation recently granted $22,500 toward two financial literacy efforts here.

The San Francisco chapter of the Financial Literacy Consortium Project will receive $20,000 to help launch multilingual, multicultural credit union financial literacy programs throughout the San Francisco Unified School District. The remaining $2,500 will go to Jones Methodist Church Credit Union to fund its production of a financial boot Camp, which it has offered to local children free of charge since 2006.
