South Jersey Federal Credit Union, Deptford, N.J., presented the Greater Delaware Valley chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society with a $1,000 donation check. The donation was made in honor of the annual National Multiple Sclerosis Society Walk in Washington Township. Cate Anderson, a member service representative at South Jersey FCU’s Deptford office was the captain of the credit unions employee team. Anderson was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 10 years ago.

Landmark Credit Union, New Berlin, Wis., raised $22,783 for Children’s Hospital by selling $1 links and $10 hearts during their Credit Unions For Kids Chain of Hearts campaign. The total raised is a 20% increase over the amount raised in last year’s campaign. Last year, credit unions in the state of Wisconsin raised over $348,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network campaign.

United Educational Credit Union, Battle Creek, Mich., awarded a $400 Bright Ideas Partnership grant to Bellevue Community Schools for K-12 physical education program. The grant was applied for by physical education teacher, Shelley Morgan for the purchase of pedometers. The pedometers will be implemented at the elementary level to help ensure students become healthy and active adults.
