Business Partners Gains
Audit Certification

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — For its best practices in the execution of commercial real estate, participation and Small Business Administration lending products, Business Partners LLC said it has successfully completed a SAS70 Type II audit of controls.

According to the CUSO, the SAS70 is a widely recognized auditing standard that demonstrates that a service provider has completed an in-depth audit of its internal processes and controls. The type II audit is the most rigorous, not only examining processes and controls, but also providing the auditor's opinion on their effectiveness, the CUSO noted.

The controls were tested by McGladrey and Pullen LLP according to the SAS70 type II standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Business Partners provides member business lending services including origination, underwriting, documentation, servicing, risk management and reporting and has more than $1.5 billion in business loans under asset management. Since 1992, Business Partners said it has underwritten more than $20 billion in business loans and has expanded its product offerings to include third-party underwriting and audit services for other lenders.
