First New York Federal Credit Union, Schenectady, N.Y., announced the promotion of Paula O'Shea to the position of branch manager of its Albany branch. O'Shea started at First New York in 2007 as a management trainee. Her most recent position was assistant branch manager of the Albany branch.

Workers' Credit Union, Fitchburg, Mass., announced the hiring of Jeanne Dupre as a financial representative. Dupre was most recently a financial representative for a local bank. Prior to that, Dupre had been an employee at Worker's Credit Union for over 20 years in a variety of positions that included branch manager and financial representative.

Capital Communications Federal Credit Union, Albany, N.Y., announced that President/CEO Paula Stopera has been chosen as one of Albany-Colonie Chamber's 2008 women of excellence. Stopera was honored for excellence in management in the more than 75 employees category and will be recognized with seven other women at a June luncheon. Also, Capital Communications announced the promotion of three employees and one new hire. Danielle Carusone was promoted to branch manager of the Latham branch. Carusone has been with Capital Communications for 19 years. Barbara Borter was promoted to branch manager of the North Greenbush branch. Borter has worked at Capital Communications for eight years. Tiia Alkinburgh was promoted to branch manager of the Clifton Park branch. Alkinburgh has been an employee at Capital Communications for more than 14 years. Rebecca Crocco was hired as contact center manager.

Tuscaloosa Credit Union, Tuscaloosa, Ala., announced the hiring of Mike Ivey as senior mortgage lender. Ivey has been making traditional mortgage loans tohome owners for 11 years. Ivey most recently worked with Wachovia Bank as a senior decisioner.

Mobiloil Federal Credit Union, Beaumont, Texas, announced that President/CEO Chris McDonald has reigned. McDonald joined Mobiloil in 1999 as President/CEO and led initiatives that resulted in an increase of assets by more than 150%, numerous ATMs, a new headquarters building, and the opening of four additional branches. The board of directors has approved the promotion of Kim Heinze to the president/CEO position. Henize previously served as senior vice president and chief operating officer.

Firstmark Credit Union, San Antonio, announced the promotion of Dawn Sloans to vice president-chief human resources officer. Sloans joined Firstmark in 1998 as vice president of human resources.

Purdue Employees Federal Credit Union, West Lafayette, Ind., announced the promotion of Emily Truett to mortgage specialist. Trueet joined Purdue in 2005 and has since gained experience in auto and second-mortgage lending as well as specialized investment licenses.

Scott Credit Union, Collinsville, Ill., announced the hiring of Eric Bugger as vice president of consumer lending. Bugger brings more than 15 years of collections and lending experience to the position.

American 1 Federal Credit Union, Jackson, Mich., announced the promotion of three employees and the changing of titles of two employees. Kristi Latoszewski changed her title from vice president of marketing to vice president of marketing and communications. Ryan Bradley was promoted to senior network systems specialist after serving as information technology specialist. Liz Niles was promoted to community relations manager from event coordinator. Dave Lawrence was promoted from marketing specialist to senior communications specialist. Marla Sanford is now event coordinator she was previously marketing specialist.

USA One Credit Union, Matteson, Ill., announced that its President Jerry Haley was appointed as a member of the Matteson-area chamber's board of directors. Haley has been an active member of the chamber for the past three years
and served as an organizer for its annual golf outing fundraiser.

TopLine Federal Credit Union, Maple Grove, Minn., announced that Financial Network Investment Advisor Representatives Phil Curoe and Lynn Hedrick have earned the chartered financial consultant professional designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pa.

Idaho State University Federal Credit Union, Pocatello, announced the promotion of two executive staff members. James Burrup was promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer. Burrup has been with the credit union since 2002 serving as a vice president of accounting and information technology. John Hapke was promoted to senior vice president and chief operating officer. Hapke was been at Idaho State University FCU for twelve years in the lending department most recently as the vice president of lending.

Heritage Federal Credit Union, Newburgh, Ind., announced that Director of Employee Development and Process Improvement Cynthia Crowley has earned the certified professional in learning and performance credential from the American Society for Training & Development Certification Institute.

St. Vrain Valley Credit Union, Longmont, Colo., announced that Marketing Director Cheri Carter has been elected to the board of the Flatirons Credit Union Chapter, serving credit unions in Boulder and Broomfield counties. The Flatirons Chapter focuses on career building and leadership education.

Matadors Community Credit Union, Chatsworth, Calif., announced the hiring of Mark Tsimanis as vice president of lending. Tsimanis has worked in the credit union industry since 1994 and has ten years of credit union lending experience.

Group Health Credit Union, Seattle, announced the hiring of Robert Schweigert as vice president and chief lending officer. Schweigert comes to Group Health from Wells Fargo. Prior to Wells Fargo, Schweigert served as the vice president of lending at Washington's Credit Union for ten years.

Wauna Federal Credit Union, Clatskanie, Ore., announced that Christie Partridge has been hired as St. Helens branch manager. Partridge most recently owned her own insurance agency, which she sold in 2008.

Credit Union Association of New Mexico, Albuquerque, announced the promotion of three employees. Mike Athens was promoted to vice president of association services. In the accounting department, Derek Wright was promoted to vice president of finance and operations and Elisa Furlan-Young was promoted to staff accountant.

American First Credit Union, Ogden, Utah, announced that Nancy Horrocks has been selected as the new manager of the Pleasant Grove Macey's branch. Horrocks started her career at American First in 1999 as a teller at the Layton Dan's branch. Also, Doug Spainhower has been named the new manager of the IT support department. Spainhower started working at the credit union in 2000 in the PC systems department as a PC systems specialist.

Washington Sate Employees Credit Union, Olympia, Wash., announced the hiring of Kim Hoffman as vice president of mortgage. Hoffman has more than 20 years experience in the home lending and financial services industries.

Security Service Federal Credit Union, Denver, Colo., announced the hiring of Melinda Knaus-Sardella as mortgage loan officer as its Centennial location. Prior to joining Security Service, Knaus-Sardella was a mortgage loan officer with Westerra Credit Union.

Prior to coming to Numerica, Campanella worked for Safeco Insurance. Also, Deanna Hanley was hired as the branch manager of the Havana branch. Prior to coming to Numerica, Hanley was branch manager at American General Financial Services.

Credit Union Associations of Colorado and Wyoming, Arvada, Colo., welcomed Andrew Guthrie as the new association consultant and Debra Larrabee as the new Government Affairs Administrator. Guthrie has eight years of credit union experience in the areas of teller, lending, member services, teller supervisor and branch supervisor all from Elevations Credit Union. Larrabee has experience in office administration support with over 20 years of executive support at divisional and local levels. She has worked for CUNA Mutual Group as an administrator for over ten years.

Desert Schools Federal Credit Union, Phoenix, announced the promotion of Carlos Pacheco to senior vice president with responsibility for sales and branch operations. Pacheco started at Desert Schools in 2000 as senior director of date processing services. He later transitioned to vice president of branch operations which included additional oversight of product management and business deposit functions.

Patelco Credit Union, San Francisco, announced that CEO Andrew Hunter plans to retire mid-2009. Hunter has served as CEO of Patelco since 2003 following a long tenure during which he served as chief financial officer, executive vice president and president. Hunter joined Patelco in 1990. Hunter will remain CEO as a search has begun to select a president who will, in turn, take over as CEO upon Hunters retirement.

Gesa Credit Union, Richland, Wash., announced the appointment of Jim Delyea as vice president of branch operations. Delyea will oversee Gesa's branch network to ensure efficient operations and quality member service.
