BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Alabama Telco Credit Union is proving small change can make a big difference.
The credit union recently launched its new Centsible Saving Program, an automatic savings that saves money, earns dividends and pays members a match when they use their Alabama Telco debit card.
Every time a member makes a debit card purchase, Alabama Telco automatically rounds up the purchase to a whole dollar amount, transferring the extra change into the member's Centsible Savings Account. If the member meets certain requirements, Alabama Telco will also make a match at the end of each quarter. There is a 50% match for the first 30 days and a 5% match thereafter.
So far over 500 members have taken advantage of Centsible Savings.
