CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Credit unions serving large Hispanic memberships may not want to neglect the mobile channel. According to a new report from Forrester Research, 26% of Hispanic adults used wireless mobile devices to check financial accounts in 2007, up 10 percentage points from the year before. In fact, overall, nearly 30% of Hispanic consumers in the United States use mobile data services, according to the firm's Hispanic Technographics Consumer Technology Phone Survey, a 20-minute phone survey of 3,004 U.S. Hispanic adults conducted in October.
