COLLINSVILLE, Ill. — Scott Credit Union Board Chairman BettyRenth has been inducted into Who's Who in America's Credit Unionsfor 2008.

Renth, who is considered a driving force behind Scott CU'ssuccess, is being honored among the top leaders for heraccomplishments and service in the credit union industry.

Who's Who in America's Credit Unions annually recognizes thosewho have contributed most to the nation's credit unionmovement.

Renth has served as a volunteer on the credit union's board ofdirectors since 1956. She has also served as a volunteer on theboard of the National Association of Credit Union Chairmen andearned numerous awards for her efforts as an advocate of the creditunion industry.

“This is another great honor for Betty,” said Scott Credit UnionPresident/CEO Frank Padak. “Betty has accomplished great things andhas been an asset to Scott Credit Union and to the entire creditunion movement for more than 50 years. We are very fortunate tohave her as part of our board and we congratulate her on this verywell deserved honor.”

Renth was nominated based on her leadership and, in particular,her service with Scott CU. Upon nomination, Renth was selected forthe 2008 award by the Editorial Advisory Board of Who's Who inAmerica's Credit Unions.

Over the years she has earned many honors and awards, includingbeing bestowed the Spirit of Service Award and being namedVolunteer of the Year by the Illinois Credit Union System. She alsowas inducted into the Illinois Credit Union Hall of Fame in2002.

Last year, Renth was inducted into the Defense Credit UnionCouncil
Hall of Honor.
