COLLINSVILLE, Ill. — Scott Credit Union Board Chairman Betty Renth has been inducted into Who's Who in America's Credit Unions for 2008.
Renth, who is considered a driving force behind Scott CU's success, is being honored among the top leaders for her accomplishments and service in the credit union industry.
Who's Who in America's Credit Unions annually recognizes those who have contributed most to the nation's credit union movement.
Renth has served as a volunteer on the credit union's board of directors since 1956. She has also served as a volunteer on the board of the National Association of Credit Union Chairmen and earned numerous awards for her efforts as an advocate of the credit union industry.
“This is another great honor for Betty,” said Scott Credit Union President/CEO Frank Padak. “Betty has accomplished great things and has been an asset to Scott Credit Union and to the entire credit union movement for more than 50 years. We are very fortunate to have her as part of our board and we congratulate her on this very well deserved honor.”
Renth was nominated based on her leadership and, in particular, her service with Scott CU. Upon nomination, Renth was selected for the 2008 award by the Editorial Advisory Board of Who's Who in America's Credit Unions.
Over the years she has earned many honors and awards, including being bestowed the Spirit of Service Award and being named Volunteer of the Year by the Illinois Credit Union System. She also was inducted into the Illinois Credit Union Hall of Fame in 2002.
Last year, Renth was inducted into the Defense Credit Union Council
Hall of Honor.
