Funds Sought For Maine Flood Relief

WESTBROOK, Maine -- The Maine Credit Union League and the National Credit Union Foundation have launched a disaster relief effort for CU members and employees hurt by the state's recent flooding.

WESTBROOK, Maine — The Maine Credit Union League and the National Credit Union Foundation have launched a disaster relief effort for CU members and employees hurt by the state’s recent flooding.

A northern part of the state in and around Aroostook County saw widespread flooding from the St. John River and from a record snowfall this year. The region, which borders Canada, has five credit unions with a total of 16 branches and roughly 42,000 members, according to league spokesman Jon Paradise.
