COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Credit Union League's financial education initiative MoneyAndStuff recently took center stage at the Ohio Statehouse.
The League has presented to the Ohio General Assembly its answer to the financial literacy call– MoneyAndStuff.info, which was created to help educators, parents and credit unions teach money matters.
The financial education resource site offers free financial lessons, tips for parents, and educational games. In addition, the initiative, which targets the most impressionable ages, grades 4 and 5, 11 and 12, emphasizes credit concepts and how to manage borrowing and according to the League, will result in more Ohio credit unions providing financial education and stronger credit union partnerships with every Ohio school district.

In 2006, the Assembly passed legislation requiring financial education be taught in all public high schools by 2010.
