Service 1st Federal Credit Union, Danville, Pa., offered several different programs in honor of Credit Union Youth Week and the theme "Got Green? Grow It at Your Credit Union." One program was Service 1st FCUs Green Loan program. Incentives were offered to members who purchased a qualifying hybrid during the week. Any qualified hybrid loan purchased received a 1.00% loan rate discount on new or used hybrids. Another program was titled "Considering Hybrid Technology?" Service 1st FCU invited visitors to come learn about the benefits of purchasing a hybrid vehicle. Aubrey Alexander Toyota had cars on site at the Danville, Lewisburg, and Shamokin Dam offices and representatives were on hand to help visitors learn about and understand the latest hybrid technology and benefits. The final program was a Youth Savings Challenge. Service 1st FCU invited parents to bring in kids for Youth Week activities and to learn how small change can lead to both saving for the future and saving the environment.

Delaware Federal Credit Union, Dover, Del., celebrated Credit Union Youth Week by offering any student between the ages of 6 and 18 the chance to win one day's interest on one million dollars and a limousine ride to and from school. Students opening a new account at Del-One during Youth Week were eligible to enter the prize and the chance to carry the title "Millionaire for a Day." All students visiting any Del-One branch during Youth Week also received complimentary giveaways.

Service One Credit Union, Bowling Green, Ky., held a Kid Fair at its Campbell Lane Branch in honor of Credit Union Youth Week. The fair aimed to provide free entertainment and deliver important safety messages to children in the community. Kids on the Block performed two puppet shows at the fair and BGMU was on-site to provide safety demonstrations. Kids also enjoyed face-painting activities, a "Cars" inflatable bouncer and a visit from Stanley the Trashcan. Refreshments were served and child ID kits were available.

AmeriChoice Federal Credit Union, Mechanicsburg, Pa., held a Savings Challenge in honor of Youth Week. Members 18 and under were encouraged to make deposits into their account for a chance to win $100. Participants received an entry every time they made a deposit of $10 or more, opened a new account or referred a friend who opened an account. In conjunction with the theme "Got Green? Grow It at Your Credit Union" celebrated Earth Day and Harbor Day as well. Visitors were invited to stop by an AmeriChoice branch to enjoy refreshments and learn ways to make their banking "green."

Community One Federal Credit Union, Las Vegas, opened savings accounts for students, parents, and siblings as well as faculty, staff, and their families at Gibson Middle School as part of Credit Union Youth Week. Membership that usually requires a deposit of $25 was reduced to $15. Membership applications were sent home with students the week prior for parents who couldn't attend the scheduled sessions with their child. The special offer was also extended past Youth Week through the end of April. This is Community One's ninth year as a partner with Gibson Middle School as part of the Clark County School District Focus School Project.

MidSouth Federal Credit Union, Macon, Ga., encouraged youth ages 17 and under to save during Credit Union Youth week with a free gift for every youth deposit. MidSouth FCU also had three contests for different age groups to enter to win a $50 gift card and a free Got Green tee shirt. The contests were a coloring contest for ages seven and under, a word find contest for ages 14 to 8, and a essay contest for ages 18 to 15.

Advance Financial Federal Credit Union, Schereville, Ind., celebrated the "Got Green? Grow It At Your Credit Union" theme during Credit Union Youth Week. The week-long event aimed to help children and parents understand the benefits of credit union members. To encourage youth participation in Advance Financial FCU, the credit union gave out free Colorado Blue Spruce tree saplings to members 17 years of age and younger who came in and made a deposit during the week. Advance Financial FCU also offered free youth accounts all week by covering the initial $5 deposit into each new Kid's Club member accounts. Youth members also qualified for a chance to win $100 by taking part in the National Youth Saving Challenge sponsored by CUNA.
