WAUKEGAN, Ill. — Consumers Credit Union has welcomed its new 2008 board of directors.

John R. Janezic will serve as chairman, Lou Paparigian vice chairman, Denise Charts secretary and Alice Clements treasurer.

The five newly elected board members will each serve three-year terms. The elections were held in conjunction with CCU's Annual Meeting.

More than 250 members and guests attended the 78th Annual Meeting, where CCU President Sean M. Rathjen provided an overview of the credit union's 2007 achievements and financial results. He also provided a preview of the many exciting activities CCU has planned for 2008.

"The support and dedication reflected by the attendance of so many members at the annual meeting is truly appreciated," said Rathjen.

Those elected to serve three-year terms include incumbents Denise Twardy Charts, John R. Janezic and Dr. John Schwab, along with new board members Roman Miller and Chester W. Splitt. They are joined on the board by Ann Campanella, Alice Clements, James A. Mahnich Sr., Larry May, Lou Paparigian, Joseph M. Rajcevich and Kenneth Robinson.

"CCU is fortunate to have a board of directors with such diverse backgrounds and wide-ranging areas of expertise," said Rathjen. "Each person brings important experience and perspective to the board. With their help, CCU looks forward to another great year in 2008."
