PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — In a continuation of its strategy begun a year ago to open seven branches in New Hampshire Wal-Mart Stores, Service Credit Union said it is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday for its sixth full service facility inside a store in Epping. The Epping branch was opened March 10.

"Service Credit Union's in-store locations allow us to provide banking services to current and new members seven-days a week and during extended evening hours," said Gordon Simmons, president/CEO.

So far activity at the branches has been good with "the credit union experiencing a high-level of traffic from its members," said Simmons.

The final Wal-Mart facility will be opened in Hooksett but no timetable was announced. The other store branches are in Newington, Salem, Portsmouth, Rochester and Manchester.
