SAN JOSE, Calif. — Mshift Inc. here, a provider of mobile banking solutions, announced that it has added another 21 credit unions to its list of mobile banking clients.
The credit unions added to Mshift's roster are Alaska USA FCU, Anchorage ($3.5 billion); Bellco CU, Greenwood Village, Colo. ($1.7 billion); Bethpage CU, Bethpage, N.Y. ($3 billion); Eastman CU, Kingsport, Tenn. ($1.9 billion); Miami Firefighters FCU, Miami, Fla. ($70 million); New Mexico Educators CU, Albuquerque ($828 million); Northwest FCU, Herndon, Va. ($1.5 billion); Proponent FCU, Nutley, N.J. ($380 million); Purdue Employees FCU, West Lafayette, Ind. ($539 million); Randolph Brooks FCU, Live Oak, Texas ($3 billion); SECU of Maryland, Baltimore, ($1.7 billion); and Utah Community CU, Provo ($580 million).
Miami Firefighters FCU is taking mobile banking right into fire stations. Since launching mobile banking in January 2008, hundreds of members have started banking on their cell phones, said Mshift. While members are banking in-branch, they are invited to see demonstrations on staff cell phones. MFFCU staff are also visiting fire stations throughout the Miami area to demonstrate the solution on firefighter's own cell phones.
