MADISON, Wis. — The keynote address at the America's Credit Union Conference and Expo this summer will be given by HGTV cofounder Susan Packard.
In her address, "Now What? Innovating Ideas into Icons," Packard will discuss how she helped HGTV grow into a powerhouse brand in a marketplace dominated by media giants. Packard will explain how HGTV evolved into the multibillion dollars media division it is today that includes four additional lifestyle networks.
Other keynote speakers include Richard Picciotto, retired fire chief of the New York Fire Department, Steve Farber, author of The Radical Leap: A Personal Lesson in Extreme Leadership, and author Dan Heath.

Picciotto will deliver his eyewitness account of Sept. 11 during "Last Man Down: A Firefighters Story." He will also discuss the FDNY's training strategies and tactics to develop leadership, motivation, risk management and decision making to teach attendees skills that can benefit their organizations.
In "The Radical Leap: Extreme Leadership at Work and Beyond" Farber will discuss why people respond to significant, meaningful and dramatic action and will demonstrate how to use love, energy, audacity and proof to improve credit unions and lives.
Heath's presentation "Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die" will outline principles of successful ideas at work, and how to apply these rules to make messages stick.
