LATHAM, N.Y. — Covera Card Solutions is helping credit unions demonstrate that every penny counts when it comes to doing good in the community.

Covera is providing credit unions the opportunity to offer the United Way's Pennies for Change program to its members. Through the program members of participating credit unions can opt to donate one penny every time they use their credit or debit card to make a purchase. The “pennies” are then donated to United Way to support programs in their credit unions respective communities.

All participating financial institutions will receive marketing templates from United Way to promote the program to their members and will be listed on the United Way Web site as a participant.

United Way is a national network of nearly 1,300 local organizations that advance the common good, creating opportunities for a better life for all by focusing on the three key building blocks of education, income and health.
