HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Clyde Bean, Pamela Philyaw, and Nancy Walker have each been elected to serve a three-year term on the Redstone Federal Credit Union board of directors.

Philyaw, Bean, and Walker were officially elected to serve during the 2007 Annual Meeting of Redstone Federal Credit Union, held on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008. Bean has been a member of Redstone FCU for more than 48 years. He joined Redstone in 1959 and was invited to serve on the supervisory committee in 1982. First appointed, then elected, he has served on the board of directors since 1984. He is the chairman of the policy and planning committee, a member of the building committee, and has served on the marketing and supervisory committees.

Philyaw was recruited to serve on the credit advisory committee in 1985, appointed to the board in 1995, and elected in 1996. She also had a vital part in the development of the credit union's STAR Club, a savings program designed to educate children about the importance of financial responsibility. In addition to serving on the credit advisory committee, she also served as chairperson on the Redstone Services Corporation board and on the information systems committee. Presently, she is chairperson of both the investment and asset/liability committees and is a member of the policy and planning committee and the marketing committee.

Walker has served as a member of Redstone FCU's supervisory committee since 1985. She was appointed to the board of directors in September 2000 and serves as chair of the supervisory committee. She also serves as chair of the investment and insurance committee.
