LIVONIA, Mich. — Community Choice Credit Union is moving its corporate headquarters to Farmington Hills, Mich. and has purchased the former Citizens Republic Bancorp office building.

Plans are underway to refurbish the three-story, 41,000 square foot building to house approximately 70 staff members including the credit union's administrative and support staff. The new headquarters will open in the summer of 2008. Community Choice will also be opening its eighth branch office on the lower level of the headquarters later this year.

"Since the merger of Research Federal Credit Union with Community Choice Credit Union in August of 2007, we have been in need of a larger facility for our corporate headquarters," said Robert Bava, president. "This is an important milestone for Community Choice to build and strengthen our combined staff and resources in a shared environment as we grow in Southeastern Michigan. Farmington Hills also expands the footprint of our credit union and it is centrally located among our branches."
