PHOENIX — With this town in high gear for Sunday's Super Bowl, listeners on a morning radio show Thursday got to hear about the credit union 'people to people' message and Children's Miracle Fund donations as a result of a lively auction bid sponsored by Arizona State Credit Union's for a pair of tickets and a VIP celebrity package.

“So far they've had 20 bids on the air with the top offer at $14,000 and they'll be doing it all day,” said Paul Stull, senior vice president of marketing at the $1.1 billion Phoenix CU.

CMN officials are pleased at the response so far, said Stull who spoke with DJs on station KTAR (www.ktar.com) which is carrying the auction on the Internet and soliciting bids. Arizona State, has been using a Super Bowl ticket raffle to bring in new accounts as well as help out local charities including CMN, said it hopes CU executives across the country might submit bids.

Arizona State noted that beyond the ticket price the VIP package includes transportation and parties and also features a meet and greet football “legends” Otis Anderson of NY Giants and Ronnie Lott of San Francisco 49ers.
