PHOENIX — Calling itself “the big Super Bowl winner,” the $1.1 billion Arizona State Credit Union detailed its marketing success in taking advantage of next Sunday's Super Bowl game by using ticket giveaways and radio promotions including one that invites CUs across the U.S. to donate to Children's Miracle Network in an Internet/radio auction next Thursday.
“We're really excited about what we've done and now we want credit unions to make bids on a pair of tickets and a VIP hospitality package for the Feb. 3 game in Glendale,” said Paul Stull, senior vice president of marketing
The Phoenix CU acquired the Super Bowl tickets to the big game being held in suburban Glendale months ago knowing the local game hype would be an attractive marketing promotion “and it's been terrific drawing in $58 million in deposits since October.” said Stull.
In giving away tickets in a raffle, Arizona State also linked up with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization to give ticket sets to needy families and now has signed on with KTAR radio to auction two more tickets and the VIP package on behalf of CMN. The package valued at roughly $14,000 includes a private party, transportation to the game and celebrity visits.
