NAPLES, Fla. — Credit union league and CU trade association officials have gathered here for the Winter Meeting of the American Association of Credit Union Leagues for key issues discussions facing the industry and how best to address them.

Today's opening sessions are closed to the press, but responses to the UBIT threat and political involvement and grassroots actions for the coming presidential and congressional elections are topics under discussion among attendees. State issues advocacy and future league development is also being discussed.

Tomorrow's agenda includes update reports from CUNA Strategic Services and CUNA Mutual Group and a session on the NCUA Outreach Task Force by CU league presidents.
