ATLANTA — Pulling out all the stops to mark the long-time rivalry between the University of Georgia Bulldogs and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Georgia’s Own Credit Union boosted the contest several notches through a recent promotional campaign.

Named the official sponsor of the college football game between the two rivals, the $1 billion credit union launched its “Georgia’s Own Battle” promotion, which featured a Web site (, advertisements on billboards, radio and television and on the Nov. 24 game day, giveaways and an on-field contestant winning $5,000. The Bulldogs went on to beat the Yellow Jackets.
