MADISON, Wis. — The four recipients of the first Leadership Scholars Program have elected to use their scholarships to attend the CUES executive education programs. Recipients Larry Palochik, CEO, South Bay Credit Union CEO Larry Palochik, Diablo Valley Federal Credit Union CEO John Pamer, 1st Valley Credit Union CEO Gregg Stockdale, and Palo Alto Community Federal Credit Union CEO Michael Stremme, were announced at the Richard Myles Johnson Foundation's Gala Reception this past month in San Diego.
Stockdale and Stremme will attend CUES' CEO Institute I: Strategic Planning, March 30–April 4, 2008, at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Palochik and Pamer will attend CUES' Advanced Leadership Institute, held in partnership with the California/Nevada Credit Union League, July 20–25, 2008, at Harvard Business School in Boston.
The Golden 1 Credit Union offers the Leadership Scholars Program, in partnership with The Richard Myles Johnson Foundation and the league. It is offered to small- and mid-sized California Credit Union League member credit unions in California and Nevada. The scholarships provide full tuition to leadership development and executive education programs throughout the credit union movement.
