MADISON, Wis. — From five employees in 1982 to 75 employees and more than $15 billion in assets under management today, MEMBERS Capital Advisors celebrated its 25th anniversary today.

Founded as Century Investment Management Co. in 1982, the registered investment advisor affiliate of CUNA Mutual Group, the company was steered by Mike Daubs, who retired in March 2006 after 32 years of services. In 2005, David Marks took the helm becoming MCA's president and chief investment officer of CUNA Mutual.

Both Daubs and Marks as well as Jeff Post, president/CEO of CUNA Mutual, celebrated this afternoon by scooping ice cream for employees.

“We've made a lot of changes to the original model, but at least one thing has remained the same,” said Marks. “We still offer each of our clients the same attention to detail.”

MCA has expanded its lineup over the years to include the MEMBERS Mutual Funds series, development of a state-of-the-art trading room, and the addition of 30 new professionals to the staff.

Marks said Daubs' vision has undeniably helped MCA become the entity that it is today.

“We're not changing the focus, ethics, compassion or sensitivity that Mike has put in place,” Marks said. “We're changing the investment focus.”
