WASHINGTON — The House voted 405-2 in favor of the Internet Tax Freedom Act (H.R. 3678).
The bill, introduced by Senior House Member John Conyers (D-Mich.), extends the Internet tax moratorium for four years. The current ban will expire Nov. 1.
An Internet tax would affect all businesses engage in e-commerce by taxing users. NAFCU is following the bill as it pertains to credit unions.
