Some weeks credit unions and credit union organizations just get it right in the public relations realm--last week was one of them. There were a number of great examples of good PR moves that go a long way in boosting the image of all credit unions.

Some weeks credit unions and credit union organizations just get it right in the public relations realm–last week was one of them. There were a number of great examples of good PR moves that go a long way in boosting the image of all credit unions.

-I caught CUNA President/CEO Dan Mica’s interview on the state of credit union mortgage lending live on Bloomberg TV. Mica came across very earnest. He warned that the mortgage woes are not done and we can be feeling the effects for a few more years. He landed some good plugs for credit unions, noting that they are in better shape than other financials because they didn’t fall into the exotic mortgage trap. He pitched the ability of credit unions to work one-on-one with members to restructure some of these exotic loans into more manageable products.
