In a recent letter to members, McKittrick said "there comes a point in life when you realize that it is time to step aside and enjoy the rest that life has to offer." During McKittrick's tenure, Proponent grew to $400 million in assets and nearly 25,000 members.

"I have had the privilege of leading our wonderful credit union for the past 30 plus years and I have enjoyed every minute of it–okay, almost every minute of it!"
