HONOLULU — The Hawaii Credit Union League added nearly 100 member credit union names to the California Credit Union League's CU Match Up Web site, an online database to help consumers find a credit union they are eligible to join nationwide.
More than half of all the U.S. credit unions–4,478–are listed at http://www.joinacu.org. Already 27 states and Washington, D.C. are included in CU Match Up. Users complete basic fields such as city and state to find credit unions they are eligible to join; searches can be performed in both English and Spanish.
"The league is very pleased with the continual growth of CU Match Up," Catherine Arra, CU Match Up project manager, said. "By having credit unions from Hawaii join the database, it makes CU Match Up that much more an easily accessible, central resource consumers can use to learn just how many credit unions they are eligible to join, so they can enjoy the consumer-oriented services not-for-profit financial cooperatives provide."
