PORTLAND, Ore. — OnPoint Community Credit Union here is a proud sponsor of the new "Our Homes, Our Schools" program to benefit Portland Public Schools. When homebuyers close their home loans with OnPoint Mortgage and Fidelity National Title and take the Leadership Plenty class at Portland Housing Center (PHC), they can earn a $500 donation for the school of their choice in the Portland Public School District.

OnPoint Mortgage and Fidelity National Title will share the cost of each $500 grant. "We look forward to launching this exciting new program, along with Portland Housing Center and Fidelity National Title," said OnPoint's President/CEO Rob Stuart. "This program is designed to empower people with the information and resources to buy their own homes and strengthen neighborhood schools."

PHC also provides home buyer-related programs such as Home Buying 101, homebuyer counseling and mentoring and financial assistance programs. OnPoint Community Credit Union makes annual contributions to Portland Housing Center and last year's contribution of $12,500 its eight year total reached $62,500.
