SeaComm Federal Credit Union, Massena, N.Y., recently announced that its CEO Forrest Kimball was honored with the prestigious Walton Business Leadership Award at the Greater Massena Chamber of Commerce 75th anniversary dinner. Kimball was cited for his exemplary leadership of the credit union, which has doubled in size during his six year tenure, and his open management style and concern for all the credit union employees. Kimball was also recognized for his active role in community organizations and events.
Coast Central Credit Union, Eureka, Calif., has won first place in the category of Banks and Credit Unions in the Times-Standard newspaper's "Best of the North Coast" Readers Choice Awards. This is the sixth consecutive year that Coast Central has won this prestigious title. The Times-Standard is a large regional daily newspaper with circulation in Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity counties.

Community Financial Credit Union, Plymouth, Mich., recently broke ground on its second branch in Canton. A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new branch located at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Beck Road. The branch will be 3,500 square feet and will provide members with drive-thru teller services and a drive-thru ATM.

EECU, Fort Worth, Texas, recently held a grand opening celebration for the newest branch in its family, the Clifford Branch. This branch marks the 12th for EECU. EECU had a $250 daily prize giveaway and a grand prize giveaway of $5,000 during its weeklong celebration. In addition to the giveaways the CU had special product promotions and doled out $100 gas cards to members who got a pre-approved auto loan certificate from the Clifford Branch. The celebration featured a bounce house, face painter, and Radio Disney.
Digital Federal Credit Union, Marlborough, Mass., recently opened the doors to its newest branch in Tyngsboro. The new branch celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony that was attended by members, employees, Tyngsboro town officials, and representatives from the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce and Greater Hudson Chamber of Commerce. The 5,000 square foot branch features an Internet Caf?(C) with computer kiosks and free coffee for member use. The branch has six teller stations, six private offices, night deposit, drive-up teller service and a drive-up ATM.

DONATIONS

Comala Credit Union, Montgomery, Ala., recently raised $5,267.64 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The fundraising efforts were comprised of employee and member contributions through selling shamrocks at each of its five branches. The accounting department held a drawing for two gift baskets filled with gifts from area merchants, and employees baked shamrock shaped cookies and chocolate chip cookies for a bake sale. As an added incentive for employees to meet the original goal of $4,600, Executive Vice President Heath Harrell agreed to dress up as a leprechaun and pass
out candy.
