WATERBURY, Conn. — Thanks to Waterbury Connecticut Teachers Federal Credit Union, this year's back-to-school season will bring teachers in Greater Danbury local access to their credit union.
"This announcement is a significant one for our credit union because it is our first branch," said Waterbury Connecticut Teachers FCU President/CEO George V. MacDonald. "We surveyed our members in spring of last year. Among their top requests was to open an office in Greater Danbury."
The new 1,200 square-foot Hayestown Avenue branch will house three full-time employees and a part-time financial advisor that specializes in teacher retirement plans. The western Connecticut expansion is designed to provide members with greater access and convenience.

"We're opening an office in this region because we want to have an even greater presence among our members in western Connecticut," said MacDonald. "We are extremely committed to serving our members, and this new branch will ensure that more people in our field of membership will have convenient access to our products, staff and services.
