First, he explained how hacks happen, then he advised CUs to balance security with regulatory compliance and offered common sense advice for preparing for IT exams. Deal with reasonably foreseeable threats first (malware, guessed passwords, physical security, etc.) test key controls and maintain awareness and training, and vendor management among others.
