EWING, N.J. — The marketing push by business lending CUSOs to solicit more credit union subscribers looks to be stepping up this fall with two newly formed New Jersey/Pennsylvania CUSOs laying out plans for state league meetings.
"Our CUSO, East Coast Business Lending LLC, has joined the New Jersey Credit Union League's VIP Vendor program and we will be exhibiting next month at the league's annual conference in Atlantic City," said Kathie Stone, CEO of the regional CUSO formed a year ago by Credit Union of New Jersey and Philadelphia FCU.
Meanwhile, a Pittsburgh CUSO, Keystone Business Lending Solutions with seven CU owners and led by Clearview CU, Moon Township, Pa., said staffers would be visiting chapter meetings of the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association to draw in new participants.

"We've finally got all of our software and staff in place and we're ready to go," said Wayne Grinnik, the Keystone CEO and a former director of business services at Clearview. So far marketing has been handled primarily through word of mouth, he said but more intensive advertising would start in 2008.
