COLLINSVILLE, Ill. — Scott Credit Union is encouraging members to step into the zone–its new Member Zone in Millstadt.

"We are very pleased to be able to make our services more convenient for our members who live in the Millstadt area," said Scott CU President Frank Padak.

The Member Zone location, the first of its kind for Scott CU, features a new experience for members. The facility features a modern design with a new merchandising approach that includes marketing messages on a plasma screen television, back-lit signs, and a coffee bar. With an eye on convenience, the branch is cashless with full service ATMs designed to take deposits and dispense cash–essentially taking care of most transactions members would do at a teller line.

"This is a new venture for us. Our goal is to bring our services into communities where our members live with this Member Zone branch approach," said Padak. "The ATM scans members' deposits and prints out a receipt of their transaction. It accepts checks and cash deposits without an envelope that most other ATMs require. Members will be able to get money, make deposits into their accounts, make loan payments and more right at the ATM. Plus, our sales representative will be available to help members with anything they need."

During a recent ribbon cutting event the credit union donated $1,700 to representatives from the Autism Society of Southern Illinois. The donation will support the autism group's work throughout the area to aid people who are in need of care.

"We are please to be able to support the Autism Society for their work in this area," Scott CU Vice President of Marketing Adam Koishor said. "Part of this check is a donation from the credit union and part is from fundraisers during which our members helped raise money to support the Autism Society."

Rogue FCU Ready to Go Green

MEDFORD, Ore. — Rogue Federal is going "Green" at their newly purchased property in Medford; which previously served as a U.S. Forest Service location.

Demolition began in late July with plans for removal of the old growth timber that will be preserved and recycled for use in wineries, custom homes and buildings around the United States.

CEO/President Gene Pelham said, "There is beautiful wood in those buildings and we figured preserving it for future use would be the 'Green' thing to do."

When Rogue Federal received the opportunity to purchase the land they could not pass it up. The land will be used to relocate their North Medford Offices currently located on Royal Court.

"We have outgrown our current North Medford location and the newly purchased land will allow us to better serve our members and to allow for future growth of the credit union," said Pelham.

The new building tentatively scheduled to open by mid 2009 will be designed using "green" energy efficient methods and techniques.
