BALTIMORE — On a continued mission to encourage college students to consider careers at credit unions, NCUA Vice Chairman Rodney Hood shared a number of fronts he is involved in to make it happen.

Hood told attendees at the African-American Credit Union Coalition's annual meeting this morning about his Blueprint for 2020: A Plan to Strengthen the Future of Credit Unions, which, among other things, aims to build internship programs at the nearly 450 credit unions that are affiliated with colleges and universities.

"There are not a lot of young folks interviewing at credit unions and not a lot of colleges partnering with students," Hood said.
