SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Students with learning disabilities can now pick up financial literacy skills from a program that is tailored to their needs thanks to a new curriculum released by the $12 million Syracuse Cooperative Federal Credit Union.
The community development credit union received financial support from the NCUA, the New York Credit Union Foundation, the National Credit Union Foundation and the Deluxe Foundation to the bring the project to completion, according to a release prepared by the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions.
"We are four teachers who have a passion for sharing knowledge about how to 'stack chop,'" explained the authors of the new financial literacy curriculum.
