ORLANDO, Fla. — In the midst of an "aggressive growth" campaign, FAIRWINDS Credit Union has hired three banking veterans to ramp up its business services division.
The $1.4 billion credit union has hired Michael Betty as senior vice president of business services. With more than 20 years of management experience in the financial industry, Betty previously served as senior vice president and director of commercial banking at Wachovia Bank.
Also joining the business services team is Jorge Machado, who will serve as vice president of business lending. The 20-year financial services veteran comes to FAIRWINDS from Banco Popular North America where he served as vice president and Central Florida business banking manager.

Rounding out the team is Kathleen McDowell, a former vice president for BB&T Bank. McDowell will serve as assistant vice president, business development officer at the credit union.
FAIRWINDS serves nearly 136,000 members.
