INDIANAPOLIS — The list of billion dollar credit unions has a new entry–FORUM Credit Union.

The credit union announced today that it has surpassed $1 billion in assets. Founded in 1941 as Indiana Telco Credit Union serving Indiana Bell Telephone Company employees, FORUM now serves more than 95,000 members, has 12 branches and participates in the Alliance One ATM network and the CU Service Center shared branching network.

“It is an honor and a testament to our employees to have reached this point in our continued growth,” said Gary Irvin, president/CEO of FORUM. “Reaching this milestone is important. Yet what is more important is that FORUM has made it by growing in the 'right' way, and to me that means always putting our members first.”

Irvin gives high praise to the credit union's employees, who, he says, “understand the importance of outstanding member service.”

FORUM has made a number of strides over the years including opening a $25 million headquarters in 2005 that includes a conference center that hosts up to 800 attendees. The credit union has also added private clients group, investment services, wealth management, trust services and commercial lending to its lineup. In 2000, FORUM launched FORUM Solutions, a wholly-owned subsidiary that provides software solutions to credit unions and banks.
