ALEXANDRIA, Va. — NCUA has approved three applications from credit unions to convert to trade, industry or profession charters, all of them in June.

The $28 million Hartford Healthcare Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Hartford, Conn., has converted to a Healthcare Tip Charter to serve the employees, independent contractors, or self-employed persons who work regularly in the health care industry in the Connecticut counties of Hartford, Middlesex, and New Haven. NCUA approved the conversion on June 1.

The $32 million Ohio Healthcare Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, also converted to a Healthcare Tip Charter. Ohio Healthcare's new charter will let the CU serve employees, independent contractors, or self-employed persons who work regularly in the Health Care Industry in Ohio. NCUA approved the conversion on June 15.

The $13 million O And R Utility Employees Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Monroe, N.Y., converted to a Electric Power Industry TIP Charter to serve employees who work regularly at entities engaged in the electric power generation, transmission, and distribution industry in Albany, Broome, Bronx, Chenango, Columbia, Delaware, Dutchess, Greene, Kings, Nassau, New York, Orange, Otsego, Putnam, Queens, Rensselaer, Richmond, Rockland, Schoharie, Suffolk, Sullivan, Ulster or Westchester counties, New York; or Bergen County, New Jersey; or Pike County, Pennsylvania. The NCUA approved the charter change on June 29.
