PASADENA, Calif. — For the third consecutive year Wescom Credit Union has sponsored the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
This year over 42,000 fans turned out for the credit union-sponsored Angels Baseball T-Shirt Night. Each fan attending the game in Anaheim, Calif. received a red t-shirt that recognized Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Manager Mike Scioscia as the "all-time winningest manger" in the history of the ball club. The front of the T-shirt sported the Angels Baseball logo and Sciosica's name, number and signature, and the Wescom Credit Union logo with his name and number on the back.
Prior to the game, Wescom board member Brad Selby had the privilege of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch while more than 400 Wescom members and employees cheered him on.

In the weeks leading up to the game, Wescom received numerous mentions on Angels' television and radio broadcasts in connection with T-Shirt Night. The credit union's sponsorship was also mentioned in the Angels' printed schedule and on their Web site.
"Our continuing sponsorship with the Angels has been very positive for the credit union," said Brian Siegel, vice president of advertising/public relations of Wescom CU. "Sponsoring a giveaway night is fun for employees and members, and it has lasting advertising value, since fans continue to wear the T-shirt with our logo throughout the year."
T-Shirt Night is part of Wescom's season-long sponsorship of the Angels. During a half-inning of each Angels home game, an animated Wescom advertisement with Wescom's tagline, "Banking you just can't get at your bank," appears on the stadium scoreboard and on the electronic message board that runs around the upper deck. In addition, "Now open Sundays" is also displayed in recognition of Wescom's new Sunday hours.
