Technology Credit Union, San Jose, Calif., recently hosted its first annual Community Spirit Day to increase awareness for local nonprofits and community outreach organizations. The CU raised $4,000 in donations for RAFT, Girls for a Change and City Team Ministries. More than 150 people attended the day, featuring a concert by Bay Area favorite children’s artist, Mr. David. Sixteen charitable organizations and nonprofits were represented at the event.

TIC Federal Credit Union, Columbus, Ga., recently held the TIC Easter Eggstravaganza on the lawn at Riverside. In addition to age-appropriate Easter egg hunts for children, other activities included jugglers on stilts, face painting and the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny.

Credit union teams from North and South Carolina competed against each other this week in a charity golf event sponsored by CUNA Mutual Group that raised more than $45,000 for the Victory Junction Gang Camp for chronically and terminally ill children. Sixty credit union participants competed. All proceeds from CUNA Mutual’s “Carolinas Cup Championship” benefited Victory Junction Gang Camp.
